The following horses are in rehabilitation.  If you are interested in adopting one of the following horses please e-mail us!

Bentley is a 4 year old OTTB stallion who was surrendered by his owner on 12/17/09.  Bentley was diagnosed with EPM on the race track.  His owner/trainer on the track decided NOT to tell the person that they gave the horse to that he had EPM.  This resulted in it not being treated right away.  EPM is an extremely serious neurologic disease that needs to be treated right when it is caught.  Bentley did not deserve to sit for weeks without being treated.  Project Sage is giving him a second chance.

Bentley started his EPM treatment on 12/18/09.  We are aggressively treating the EPM in hopes that he will make a full recovery.

Although he is a stallion he is very well mannered and sweet.

Please consider making a donation towards Bentley's treatments.  We are giving him the chance to fight but he needs your help!  Your donations are tax deductible.

Thank you to everyone who has made this rescue possible. Thank you to the FOB's who have donated towards his treatment and helped me pick the right treatment for Bentley. Thank you to Maxine for working so hard to help me find him a stall and going with me for this treatments.  Thank you to Brian for shipping him to his new barn.  Thank you to One Horse at a Time for donating towards Bentley's treatment.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping Bentley.  We could have never done this without One Horse at a Time.  Thank you for giving Bentley a second chance.

Feb 10' Update - Bentley is doing AWSOME!  He is done with his treatment and now just needs time to be a horse and put on some weight.  He will be up for adoption as a companion as of now but this may change in the future.  He is a very nice horse and is super sweet.  He will be gelded this month.  I can't imagine how calm he is doing to be as a gelding because he is the sweetest stallion.  This horse has touched my heart in many ways and is a true fighter.  Donations for Bentley's board is greatly appreciated!!!
