Augie is a yearling thoroughbred colt.  He is a stallion and is due to be gelded soon.  He is going to Mid Atlantic for a consult.  He will be avaliable as a companion after he is done with his rehabilitation.

Augie was brought to Mid-Atlantic in the beginning and September for a consult on his hind leg.  X-rays were preformed and it was determined that Augie has a bone chip in his stifle that can not be removed.  This problem has caused his leg to deform.  He is still with his foster and seems quite happy just hanging around with his friends.  He is looking for an extremely special home that he can live out his life as a companion to another extremely calm horse.  Augie does understand his limits and has grown up this way.  We will be buying him special boots for all four legs in hope that we can correct some of his other problems.  He is a very nice colt and loves other horses.  His foster mom, Jackie, reports that he loves to be massaged!  He has really gotten into the hearts of the Project Sage family.  New pictures will be put up soon of Augie as he has gained tons of weight and has grown approx 2 hands in the past few months.
